Straight answers to the questions Atlanta homeowners ask us most. We believe in being upfront about how we price and how we work.
We don't publish a single price because every property is different. What we do is give every customer a firm, flat-rate quote before scheduling — so you know exactly what you're paying before we show up.

Mowing is priced per visit based on the square footage of your lawn, the complexity of your property (hills, obstacles, tight spaces), and how frequently you schedule. Weekly customers receive our best per-visit rate. We give you a firm, flat-rate quote before your first service — no hourly billing, no surprises on the invoice.
During active growing season (April–September), most Atlanta lawns need mowing every 7–10 days. Bermuda and Zoysia grow fast in Atlanta's heat and humidity — bi-weekly service in summer can lead to scalping if the grass gets too tall between cuts. During slower fall and winter periods, bi-weekly or monthly is usually sufficient. We'll recommend the right cadence for your specific grass type and property.
Light drizzle doesn't stop us — we'll mow through light rain if conditions are safe and the lawn won't be damaged. We don't mow in heavy rain, lightning, or when standing water is present on the lawn (wet cutting can cause uneven results and spread lawn disease). If we need to reschedule due to weather, we'll text you that morning and get you rescheduled as soon as conditions clear — usually the next day.
No. ATL Lawn Pros does not require long-term contracts for any service. You stay because the results are great — not because you signed paperwork. You can pause or cancel service at any time with reasonable advance notice (we ask for one visit's notice for regular mowing). Fertilization programs work best over a full season, but we'll explain what to expect if you start mid-year.
Yes — once products have dried, typically 1–2 hours after application. We use professional-grade products that are safe for pets and children when applied correctly. We'll always let you know the re-entry window when we treat your lawn, and we post a small flag as a visual reminder. If you have specific concerns about a pet's sensitivity, let us know and we'll discuss product options.
It depends on your grass type. For Bermuda and Zoysia (warm-season grasses), the window is April through early September — fertilizing outside this range when the grass isn't actively growing can cause damage or nutrient waste. For Fescue (cool-season), fertilize in fall (September–November) and early spring. The pre-emergent application in late February or early March is the single most important timing in the Atlanta lawn calendar regardless of grass type.
You don't need to be home. As long as we have access to all areas of your property (especially gated backyards), we can complete the service, collect payment via your preferred method on file, and send you a completion notice. Many of our regular customers are never home during their service — the communication systems we use make it seamless.
We offer one-time services for mowing, cleanup, aeration, and more. One-time visits are priced at our standard one-time rate, which is slightly higher than recurring service pricing. If you end up loving the results and want to add regular service, we'll simply transition you to the recurring rate going forward.
Aeration on a typical Atlanta residential property takes 1–2 hours depending on size. After core aeration, the soil plugs are left on the surface — they look a bit messy for a week or two but break down naturally. You can mow over the plugs after 1–2 weeks. If overseeding is done at the same time, wait 3–4 weeks before the first mow to allow new seedlings to establish.
Yes — we bring everything. Commercial-grade mowing equipment, edgers, trimmers, blowers, aeration machines, fertilizer spreaders, and all product materials. You don't need to provide anything except access to your property and a water source for any treatments that require rinsing equipment.
